A seasoned senior health care leader and agripreneur, Norah started her career in the nursing profession specialising early in both midwifery and paediatric nursing. She played a key role in developing the Nairobi Hospital’s paediatric unit into a fully-fledged department.

Drawing from her Child Nursing, Child Health and Nursing Management qualifications acquired from the Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town South Africa and her experience in the paediatric unit at Nairobi Hospital, Norah participated in developing the first curriculum for training of paediatric nurses in Kenya.

Passionate about patient centred care, nursing standards, Norah begun her leadership journey prior to joining the Nairobi Hospital where she rose through the ranks to become the Director of Nursing Services. Norah’s strategic, people leadership and hospital management skills served her well in successfully leading the hospital’s largest function.

Norah who has been an agripreneur  for several years now focuses on this aspect of her file is married to James Onyango and is the mother of five children and three grandchildren.
